Auditorium E (The Lyceum) Renovation

This total renovation of an existing multipurpose assembly space was intended to provide a new music-focused performance space for up to 240 people. The renovations included new theatrical lighting, new A/V system, extensive acoustic treatments, and ADA upgrades, including access into the building, restrooms, and the stage. Acoustical upgrades included adjustable interior surfaces to allow the room to be “tuned” to suit different types of musical performance. Retractable curtains allow reverberance to be tempered for louder ensembles, and increased for quiet musical performance. And a custom-designed shell on the stage allows the sound levels on the stage to be adjusted and redirected. The auditorium was transformed from a tired, and non-compliant space into a beautiful, functional, and accessible auditorium.
